I was down at Don's Sportcards this afternoon. I was looking for some cheap trade bait and to see if there was anything else I wanted. I decided to splurge on a few packs. One of those being Panini's new Mid-High range product Momentum. This is a hit a pack product and boxes are close to 200 a pop, but individual packs aren't too bad.
You get 3 cards per pack. I'm sure it's usually 2 base and the hit. Either an auto or relic. Here we have Percy Harvins base card.
And the hit...
A Chris Givens triple relic auto #d to 599. Not too shabby of a card. I wish it was of someone I've heard of. A quick google search confirms that Givens is indeed still on the Rams and wasn't cut preseason. I've seen a bunch of Panini products of rookies that didn't make the cut.
Overall this looks just like every other Panini football product I've seen so far this year. The only saving grace and makes the pack price worth it is the hit per pack, but like most products it's hit or miss. I mean I could have hit a Luck or RGIII card and made bank, but I got Givens. I still don't understand Panini's love of photocropping the background out of all their cards. I like the base design I just wish there was a little more going on on the card.
Not really sure I'm into the design of these cards too much. Too much white background and the fact it's still sticker auto's!
