Hail Hydra!!

Sorry this is a little late.

All I can say is it's about time.  I've been a pretty loyal follower of Agents of SHIELD and with a few exceptions I'd been pretty disappointed.  But with 5 episodes still left in the season holy crap have they turned it up a notch.  I still need to see The Winter Soldier and I'm hoping to see it when I have grandparents around to babysit when we head south in  few weeks.

I'm glad they finally made Skye less annoying and more of the team.  I get that you have to build the character, but is it wrong I was hoping she wouldn't make after getting shot?

If you haven't seen this weeks episode go to ABC.com and watch it.  NOW!

I also find it amusing that the Hail Hydra meme is sweeping the web.

That will be all.

Comic Book Nerds rejoice!! ABC orders full season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Just saw this on Yahoo.  That ABC has ordered the full season (22 episodes) of the Agents of SHIELD.
You can read the article here, not incredibly verbose.

I was a little worried as the show is up against NCIS, but since ABC is owned by Disney and Disney owns Marvel I couldn't see them not keeping this show around even if it wasn't the highest rated Tuedays night show.  It's a great vehicle for the company to introduce new plot lines and characters for the upcoming movies and how cool was it to have Sam Jackson make a cameo last week?  This week we saw the origin of Graviton so I'm hoping that we are just starting to ramp up the story lines.  I mean how cool would it be in Tony Stark make an appearance or Thor?   Plus a TV show would allow for more character development and deeper plots.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It's funny I can't remember the last time I was excited about a new TV show.  With the airwaves filled with reality shows and crime dramas I really have been over it.  Factor in that I don't have cable so channels like the History Channel and Comedy Central don't factor in and I really don't watch that much TV anymore.  Fast forward to last night and the premiere of Agents of SHIELD. I'm a huge comic book geek and I had really, really, really been looking forward to seeing this show and hoping it wouldn't suck.  I'd also hoped that since the show was on ABC which is owned by Disney which owns Marvel Comics that this show would live up to it's potential

And from the ratings the show got it looks like they might have a hit. But to be honest I was a little underwhelmed by the pilot episode.  I would really had liked if they had incorperated a major Marvel hero into the show.  Yes I know that Colston was there and this is the first episode so you have to establish characters and theme.

I will say that I like that the show was smart, funny, and had great special effects.  I also loved that they continued the plot line from Iron Man 3 and didn't take the whole episode to explain it for the 3 people who didn't bother to go see the movie.

So I know where I'll be at 7 o'clock this winter on Tuesdays.  I'm just hoping that they can incorperate some great characters and plot lines from Marvels history.

Anybody else out there watch last night?
